On February 4, 2008, we launched this BETA version of The Daily Voice, a web site that aims to be the leading destination for African American news and opinion.

On May 12, we plan to launch the finished version of the site. We hope to make this a welcome spot for all members of the community, whether they are young or old, Republican or Democrat, male or female, gay or straight. Our mission is to provide a lively and interactive forum where all the members of the community can come together in one spot.

It is an unprecedented undertaking, but we believe it is also long overdue. We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoy bringing it to you.
