Bush 'begs' Saudis to help lower oil prices, Saudis refuse

President Bush came up empty-handed on Friday when he sat down with Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to ask for increased oil production to spur lower prices.

What about black voters?

I've lived through nine presidential elections and no Democrat has ever won the majority of the white vote in any of them. Jimmy Carter won just 49 percent of the white vote in 1976 and Bill Clinton won 38 percent of white voters in 1992.

"I'll never vote for a black person"

The Washington Post reports today on racist incidents during the campaign season. Obama's campaign workers explain that they have been chased by dogs, harassed by racists, and called names by bigots who say they will never vote for a black person. 

Obama takes majority of black superdelegates

Senator Barack Obama now holds a majority of all black superdelegates, according to a new tally. More than half of all African American superdelegates (52 percent) say they will support the Illinois senator, while just under a third say they support Senator Hillary Clinton (31 percent). Almost 17 percent of African American superdelegates are still "uncommitted."
