Serena Williams versus Mother Nature in new video ad

Tennis star Serena Williams has a new endorsement deal with Tampax Pearl tampons.

Williams stars in a new ad in which she faces off against Mother Nature, who is depicted holding a red box.

"This is pretty encouraging for the feminine care category," Courtney Schuster, a Tampax brand manager, told the New York Times. "A lot of celebrities are not open to working with our brand, and we're thrilled that Serena is."

The ad campaign is launched just weeks after Williams had to apologize for yelling profanities at a line judge during the U.S. Open in New York. Tampax said it never considered dropping her after the incident.
