Does Obama really think his critics aren't focused on race?

Field, you are the man!

Well at least he has finally found an area of agreement with Michael Steele. Maybe they can go on tour together in Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and South Dakota and talk about the fact no one even noticed he was black. They could then stop by North Carolina Rep Virginia Fox house for diner. Let face it the only black Obama that would be welcomed in many of those places would be Bo. I believe V. Fox and Joe Wilson would let Bo in the front door and send Steele and the president to the back.

Thanks for the write-up. I am not sure what to make of this picture. However, I was disappointed that the Obama adminstration has attempted to distance themselves from President Carter and his remarks. I that was a great opportunity to really take stab and the conversation regarding race. Obama, the longer you run, the worst the situation will get. You are part African American and there is not escaping the fact that people have issues with your skin color [not your policies]. Let's talk.

Realistically, President Obama could not possibly say anything else without adding fuel to the growing fire that the media broadcast actions of those who have "intentionally demonstrated animosity" toward our President have sparked. And it should be clear to anyone rational that while the issue of racism may not be the "overwhelming" motivation of those who loudly and publicly proclaim to be "Birthers", "Deathers", "Tea-Partiers" and "You Liers" seeking to reclaim "their" country, the intense level of demonstrated animosity directed at our new President, as compared to that directed at our ex-President and government as a whole during the past 8 dismal years, just as clearly indicates that the issue of racism has and is playing a part in what is now motivating such people. The real shame of the Repudiated Republican Party of No is that collectively and individually they are satisfied to sit back silent and/or deny that the issue of racism exist and thus let such a sad motivation continue to stir itself into a frenzy without taking a public stand against it and in doing so only further repudiate itself and themselves.

The funny thing is that they don't even try to hide the reason they hate is because he's black. Limburger hates him because he's black, smart and has lived the American dream, hard work equals success. Beck hates him because in his Mormon faith, blacks are cursed, and, then you have the Wilson's of the Old Confederacy hating him because its in their DNA. And, why not put out the address where this clueless bigot has that picture hanging? 9 out of 10 of these haters who want "their America back" have no clue as to what Socialism even is or the first step in how government woks, whew, but that's what happens when you get your education from Fixed Noise's comics and AM talk radio.

President Obama reminds me of many mid & lower level black managers, i've known over the years, with white subordinates. the double standards are so obvious. they are comfortable criticizing blacks, but are very timid and measured in nearly identical situations with whites. they know if they really use the power that goes with their positions in a way that offends whites, they're got big problems. O's criticism of Kanye was on point, but he would never have said it about someone white. Can you imgaine him apologizing to a black cop if Gates was white. He goes to africa and condescendingly lectures blacks; and then to europe to praise whites. its just sad watching the President of the U.S. kowtowing to racist whites and acting like an insecure, timid lower level black manager.

Bad advice. Obama is taking consul from the wrong folks. Listen, you cannot respond to these racist folks. Dont let them take you down that road. It's political quick sand Mr. President. But you have to have BALLS!!! Thats the biggest problem the Dems have had for a while. Obama. Take a page from Jim Brown, Malcom X, and Ali!

The precedent is being set now. As we watch it unfold the next Black President will have something to work with. However, now we can see that "one drop" of black blood rule in full application.

Here's a little insight to reality for those out there who just haven't been able to get it. Any time one group of people is different from another group of people, there will be some form of animosity between them. The democrats pushed Obama for president BECAUSE he was black. He was elected BECAUSE he was black, not in spite of him being black. Do you know how many black Americans voted for the first time in their lives for no other reason than to elect a black president? Do you really think that Obama and democrats didn't know that there was a high probability that this would happen? Obama is a smart man, and him being black was just icing on the cake for democrats. Just in case you really don't know what the dems are all about here's a rundown... they like to push ideas that sound good to the average person, but the reality of these ideas usually isn't so great. Democrats are all about putting on a show to stay in power, moving our government into a bigger, and bigger, and bigger part of our everyday lives IF YOU LIKE IT OR NOT! All of these people throwing in the race card, guess what, you're just hurting good NORMAL people of every race. And encouraging the scum of every race to continue to be scum. YES racism is a reality, yes it will continue to be a reality. HOWEVER, you don't have to participate in it. Race is such a mindless ignorant thing to bring up. It's so obvious even a 2 year old can tell. Learn about the REAL issues here and stop making the rest of Americans look like a bunch of blabbering idiots. This is a time when I'm NOT proud to call myself an American... and it's not because I have a black president, it's because there are too many STUPID Americans making FOOLS of themselves!

I have lived in Mississippi all my life and the first time I was called the "N" word was in California 1981 on a military Air Force Base. Long story short "I know when I'm being talked about". President Obama knows racism when he sees it and hears it. President Obama and those around him are trying to get policies past and are ignoring the "racism". It reminds me so much of the South during the Civil Rights Movement when blacks practiced "non violence". As the story goes the whites continued to kick, spit, beat up curse etc. the blacks until the government intervened, and laws were passed ruling segregation wrong. Until they pass laws about the acts of the racism being displayed it will continue to grow worse. WE ALL have to publicly denounce the racism...WE CANNONT SIT IDLE BY. WE HAVE TO SPEAK UP AGAINST THIS.

The serious consideration of this topic would be laughable; if the matter was not so serious. The ubiquitous evidence speaks for itself.
