I am not sure about the racist connotations in the headline? What I can say is if Obama was checking out his wife: Go for it Barrack! I hope to god they have a lot of romamce and sex in the midst of all that hectic work schedule. Michelle and Barrack are my sex icons any day !

Perhaps you have missed this point: Michelle Obama is the first gorgeous, sexy woman to be the First Lady in many decades. It is safe to assume that no one has had a sexual thought about a first lady since at least 1980. The sexual chemistry & the true love between these two shows through continually. They serve as role model & inspiration for all of us.

I agree with you. The real issue is that many white people are preoccupied with the sexual strength and beauty in the Black Community. When they discuss the French Presidents wife they discuss her beauty not her body parts. The real issue is that the New Yorker would have such unprofessional and base individuals. Ms.Obama's grace and elegance are the exact opposite of the vulgar piece which was originally pinned on that web.

Michelle Obama lacks common sense. Protocol seems to be dispensed with when the Obamas come to town. It is a breach of protocol to touch the Queen.

The reality is there hasn't been a First Lady that has even been considered or thought of as being attractive since Jackie Kennedy O....for any reason. Seriously...most have "Plain Janes". Whether or not the First Lady were white and would the comment made made is doubtful, however. But the fact remains that First Lady Obama is attractive for a variety of reasons. And one day it just might be considered be some to beracist when she ages well with no wrinkles.

Ms. Reynolds, it's clear, based on most of the comments made so far, that people just don't get it. The Daily Intel's remarks were unconscionably inappropriate and disrespectful in reference to The First Lady of the United States, the wife of PRESIDENT Obama. I, too, have noticed a disturbing increase in tasteless, condescending unprecedented publicly-made liberties being taken when discussing Mrs. Obama. It is sad -- not surprising -- but sad, nonetheless. As an intelligent, cultured, savvy First Lady, Mrs. Obama does an excellent job of rising above it all. I am torn between taking the high road and ignoring the ignorance, and, feeling a very strong need to speak out whenever possible against the insulting stereotypical implications.

Well, we all know the President and First Lady are watched as if they were convicts. It tires me to see all this negativity rise from such great and stellar leaders. This just goes to show how envious so many are at the marvelous pillars that President Obama and his family are laying for this world.

Come on you all, this is a picture of the most powerful leader in the world and his wife-not a frame from a rap video. To imply that the comment made is not connected to race is a misinterpretation. There is a definite parallel between the mention of Michelle's "booty" and the bizarre over obsession with Hottentot Venus' Gluteus Maximus in 19th century Europe. But, of course, it is wonderful that the Obama's represent a strong image of black love. However, the picture clearly shows that President Obama is saluting a Marine off to the left of the frame and not trying to sneak a peek at his wife's backside. The distortion of his actions place him in the role of an over sexed black buck, which is a stereotype that we (black Americans) seem to buy into. If there is any ambiguity about how this sexual implication hearkens back to racist history in America, feel free to read how Thomas Jefferson described black love in his book Notes on the State of Virginia. We've got to stop responding to all this foolishness. If we don't feed it, it won't grow. Demand respect for ourselves and our President and First Lady by not lending credence to this mess. Ignore it and don't even comment on it.
