Beyonce, Idris Elba talk about 'Obsessed'
Staff Reporter | Posted April 20, 2009 11:13 AMBeyoncé Knowles, Idris Elba and Ali Larter star in the new film "Obsessed," opening in theaters on Friday, April 24.
Knowles stars as the wife of businessman Derek Charles (Elba) seduced by co-worker Lisa Sheridan (Larter). The film is reminiscent of the 1987 film "Fatal Attraction" with Michael Douglas, Glenn Close and Anne Archer, but the new story features an African American man involved in an encounter with a white woman.
In the video below, the stars talk about the film.

When did you ever campaign against the STEREOTYPES heaped upon black women in films, stereotypes that far more prevalent against BW than they are against Glorified, Multi-presented White Women.
Now all of a sudden they show a TRUE LIFE ELEMENT...a spoiled, neurotic White Girl who thinks the whole world should revolve around her twat and what she wants and you're having a fit over the Bad PR for White girls?
Well let me tell you something.....I hope BEYONCE kicks the shit out of that bitch!
I wish I could pop on the screen and help her!
And what kind of sexist pig are you stating---"This blog site is dedicated to "Black America" and defending the perception of how America views Black men"----well what about how America views Black women and black children?
Why is everything always about your selfish asses?
I'm sure Beyonce takes good care of her "Man" in this movie for what he's done to threaten their relationship.
But him being WEAK to sexual temptation is a lot less serious than some Psycho slut stealing a baby and trying to FORCE the man to stay in the affair and kidnapping the man's wife (Beyonce).
And if Black WOmen are indeed EQUAL to White Women in this society, then why can't they cuss them out and whoop their asses just like any other women? Why are you up in here whining and moaning about Miss Anne getting an ass whooping from a Black woman? And Beyonce is really a "Creole", not a Black woman.
But more importantly, the moral of the story is this....White Women ain't shit.
And neither are the people who put them on pedestals. That's why this movie was made, that is what this movie is saying and that is why this movie is VALID.

Well Cecil, How do your in-laws view you? is the more important question.
