Chris Brown says I'm sorry

Don't be "sorry" boo, since it was your record label that probably made you utter those words, and, get some anger management to figure out why you gave this young woman such a vicious beat down. Bet you wouldn't do it to a real young man.

Look at this picture of Chris Brown and tell me the Daily Voice is trying to be "Fair and Balanced?" Wouldn't it have been easier to put a darkened OJ picture up here to make an editorial statement far less subtle? Hood over head, eyes down, mouth angry is not the picture to offer an apology. This picture selection was an editorial choice. It screams "Guilty." It screams, "I'll hit you next!" Bad editorial decision from a paper that is supposed to be a voice for Black America. We love both of these young kids only the lawyers and Paris Hilton have anything to gain from this circus.

Can a young famous (and I assume wealthy) Black man get away with and retain his celebrity status and following after beating up a Black woman, a celebrity in her own right? Not only did he beat her face up, he compounded his behavior by fleeing, abandoning his victim in the street, literally. Please please please, would some West Indian clique administer some proper West Indian Justice to Chris Brown? He need not be killed, but I would love to see some West Indians beat the shit out of this coward with an Umbrella ella ella. Wack the F out of him, break some legs and arms and then choke his ass with some Doublemint Gum. I would think some West Indians out of straight up pride would take of this matter. Jay Z....somebody....if she had some older brothers, Chris Brown would be a dead N_____r.

Odd how some seem to think that he is not getting a fair shake, umm, he busted her lip, slapped her around and BIT her, let him have his day in court to explain it, and, sorry, woman beating is done by cowards and to think people can find a way to condone it is as sick and vile as his alleged actions.

There are no excuses he can offer for beating her if any of this is found to be true. I was raised in a family of 5 boys, and we were taught by our father not to hit women. She may have been at fault, but I feel a beat down was not necessary and to flee the scene--shameful??

This situation is very sad all the way around. Unless it's a case of self-defense (which I'm pretty sure this was not) I don't think there's ever any excuse for a so-called man to physically assault a woman. As a general rule men who beat-up women tend to be insecure and cowardly. Chris Brown is young enough to learn a lesson from this and make a change. For Rhianna it may be one of life lessons about dealing with men. I wish them both well and hope nothing like this ever happens to either of them again.

The danger of being able to say anything from the shadows and get away with it is the power of a rebel rouser in the crowd or under a sheet. Accountability begins with signing your work. Nobody on this blog site should have the right to speak without taking responsibility for what they actually say. Chris Brown must take responsibility for his actions, but like I said before there is no excuse for hitting a woman in public. You can't urinate on one either, but somehow people got away with it and there were pictures? A Diva is another name for a Hustler. Wanna be treated like the boys then act like you are from Disturbia. Is a woman or a Diva on trial here? There is no excuse for hitting a woman, yet we might feel differently about a Diva. We may also feel differently if a woman hit a woman. That's a pay per view and we are hypocrits.

PEOPLE. Most of us follow the Christian teaching and listen to CHRIST> He who is without sin, cast the first stone. None of us know what caused Chris to do this. Please understand what being brought up in a home with domestic violence can do to one. Look at the Circle of Domestic Violence and perhaps you will understand. Chris needs intense counseling so that he will understand where his deep seated anger derives. Let's all of us sinners just offer up prayers for this young man and hope that he will find redemption and understanding for his actions. PUT DOWN YOUR STONES.

I really feel that it is an unfortunate situation for the both of them. I feel that we don't know all the facts, we can only assume, therefore we are prejudging, and for people to automatically blame Chris because he's a man that’s wrong. Don't you think if he actually beat her that the LAPD would have been put the Domestic Violence charges on him? For the people who prejudge this young black man your time will come. For Jay-Z, I can honestly say that I was one of his biggest fans, but this "Hollywood" thing that his on is not cool, he did not comment when Ne-Yo got choked I think if you have to comment negatively about this, especially being a public figure that we shouldn't say anything at all. Once we know all fact maybe we could sit and speak negatively about whom ever all day, but give them the benefit of the doubt. None of us are perfect. Put yourself in there shoes.

DeAundra, The fact that the LAPD has not "yet" charged Mr. Brown with domestic violence is no real indication that Rhianna was not beaten by Brown. According to news reports Brown (to his credit) turned himself in and was charged with making criminal threats. He is being investigated for alleged domestic violence, felony battery, and additional charges could be filed after officials review the case, according to the LAPD statement. Again, I wish both Chris and Rhianna well. I hope they both learn from this experience and that it does not cause irreparable damage to either of their careers.

You can say I'm sorry a thousand times, but a picture is worth a thousand words. One look at the pictures and Chris is going to need R. Kelly's lawyer.

I just hope that Chris grows from this experience and realize that men who hit those they love are not men, but out of control cowards.

Cecil....what does a photograph have to do with Chris Brown's actions?????? I am not into the media hype, the actuality speaks for itself! I don't care if there was pictures of Charles Manson, or Mother Theresa, blinking 20 times a minute...a photograph, word play...twisted conceptions mean nadda! Is it okay for her to be hit at home, where she is safe and sound? Help me out...PLEASE! Okay so, let me ask you this, while Chris is undergoing this developmental plan...Rihanna's family is supposed to support him and ignore the fact that he beat their loved one, and abandoned her? So, Chris should have no consequences for harming Rihanna? Is that right?Okay, well look Chris, is very young, and I do agree he needs help, but his cry is a little weak and a tad too late, in my opinion! Chris decided to play the I need help role...yet he and his family already knew this problem existed ~ so physically hurting Rihanna, someone Chris seemed to genuinely care about...proves that he is going no where fast, unless he stops and plans an alternate course...and not just an occasional office visit to a Psychiatrist. I am convinced in time...Mr. Chris you will get it together...I am truly routing for you, even though my words are a little rough...I just want you to hear and understand the depth of this situation. Listen to this carefully...PLEASE, Step up...You know what happened, the whole world doesn't need to know...try to work something out, whereas you do pay for your actions, but don't let the court, the media, decide your fate, don't let anyone else...really speak from your heart on your behalf...this is not easy, but I promise you, if you are sincere and really willing to gain control of your life and to move in a direction that is bigger than you can fathom, at this moment...Just do the right thing...Go back to the basics Chris...it truly is that simple...and if you are sincerely progressing, and you do make first and foremost yourself and your family proud...we will all rally around you young man...you just have to take the step in faith and know that God already has our plans predetermined! I saw this Chris Brown story resurface and I was going to go deep into some discussion about "Love" and then I said, "Why?" What's love got to do with what Chris Brown did in those pictures? This certainly wasn't love but it could be a part of the cleansing process required for Chris Brown to get there. Did anyone see the movie "Hitch?" Does anyone remember when Hitch's Girl "Tossed His Salad?" There is conflict in the process always, but did they assault each other to get there? Hitch was a stalker. Hitch got run over by a car. Hitch assaulted his girl on the Hudson River. Chris Brown must feel miserable right now. It wouldn't surprise me if they live happily ever after. They might if we stop the "Gender Haters" from spewing their hate. I can't say that all men can overcome conflict, but I won't offer the worst examples of failure to condemn Chris. It is wrong to hit anybody, but remember Hitch fell in love.
