The expectations were low and Sarah Palin met them. She continued to hammer away at her maverick credentials, but Joe Biden cited so many instances that clearly showed she and her cohort were not mavericks.
Biden kept the conversation on McCain and really did not attack Palin. She stayed in her comfort zone anytime she was incapable of answering a question she would talk about oil. She touted the fact that she had to take on oil and break up a monopoly.
Palin appeared relaxed in the spotlight but her answers more often than not made little or no sense. She had a clear agenda and that was to never answer a question that she did not know the answer to and after watching her she is still not ready for prime time.
This idea that she appeals to main street is an insult to main street. Americans want someone who is not only comfortable when discussing oil but they want someone who is fluent when discussing foreign policy. She has not been able to articulate a clear understanding of what is going on in the world.
Lastly, when Joe Biden would bring up the fact that McCain has been in total agreement with Bush for the past 8 years, and Palin would give her toothy grin and accuse Biden of looking backward. This is so ridiculous.
Whether they want to say it or not a McCain/Palin White House would offer more of the same and America can not afford that. Today, we will hear the conservative pundits salivating over Palin, but the bottom line is she talked alot, she smiled alot, but she really said nothing.
