Is Jesse Jackson trying to derail Obama's presidential campaign?
Staff Reporter | Posted October 15, 2008 2:50 PMEven when Rev. Jesse Jackson is traveling outside the United States, he can still cause trouble a world away for the nation's first black presidential nominee of a major party.
Speaking at the World Policy Forum in Evian, France last week, Jackson reportedly promised that an Obama administration would bring out "fundamental changes" in US foreign policy, including a dramatic shift in U.S. foreign policy toward the Middle East, where "decades of putting Israel's interests first" would end.
New York Post reporter Amir Taheri quoted Jackson today as saying that "Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades" will lose a great deal of their clout when Obama becomes president.
Jackson was careful to note that he is not an Obama confidant or adviser, "just a supporter," the Post reported. But Jackson also reportedly said that Obama has been "a neighbor or, better still, a member of the family."
The McCain campaign pounced on the report. "It should not surprise anyone that Obama's supporters see what others, from the terrorist group Hamas to Iranian President Ahmadinejad, have seen: an Obama presidency would bring real change to America's policy of support for Israel," said McCain senior foreign policy adviser Randy Scheunemann.
The Obama campaign also responded quickly to the story. Obama's national security spokesperson Wendy Morigi said the Illinois senator has an "unshakable commitment to Israel's security."
"Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. is not an adviser to the Obama campaign and is therefore in no position to interpret or share Barack Obama's views on Israel and foreign policy," Morigi said.
Rev. Jackson reportedly criticized Taheri for distorting his remarks and issued a statement accusing the reporter of trying "to incite fear and division." Jackson said that he "has never had a conversation with Sen. Obama about Israel or the Middle East," according to the Washington Post.
For the second time in recent months, Jackson's son, Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., had to issue a statement in response to his father's reported remarks. "I know that under a Barack Obama presidency, the United States of America's relationship with Israel will remain rock-solid, strong and unshakable," the younger Jackson said.
Back in July, Jackson was caught on tape by Fox News when he used the N word, accused Obama of talking down to black voters and said he wanted to cut Obama's nuts off.
In a piece called "Why Jesse Jackson should not campaign for Obama," the editors of Foreign Policy wonder what impact the story will have on the Democratic candidate's campaign. "While Sarah Silverman is doing her part to shake up the Jewish vote on behalf of Obama, it would appear that Rev. Jesse Jackson is doing his part to muck up the works," they write.

Why such love for equally racist nations like France, Germany and Sweden---but irrational hatred for Israel?
I won't even get on the worship of Islamic Arabic countries by Black Americans.
I would guess that since the majority of AAs would like to breed into "mulatto"--they idolized these Arab countries and ignore the Colonization and atrocities these nations reign on Black Africa.
I have lived in Tel-Aviv, Israel and was treated just the way I am in America.
Though I don't relate to the Jewish Religion (or any man-made religion), I consider Israel to be a mirror of the United States, no more racist than this place.
My support of Israel is strictly "Strategic," because I want the South Sudanese and Darfur to achieve liberation from Arab Muslim Imperialism...and as a consequence, I support any nation that is against the Islamic Arab Empire.
Jesse Jackson once claimed that there was no slavery in Sudan and basically backed up the EVIL LIES of DENIAL that Louis Farrakhan espoused about Black African suffering in Sudan.
He has since changed his tune--no doubt due to the pictures from Darfur.
But I'm not surprised that Jesse Jackson--who wanted Obama castrated--would make such an irresponsible comment as this.
One of my main reasons for supporting Barack Obama is because he doesn't govern "Emotionally" and seems to realize that STRATEGY means one doesn't necessarily have to like their allies.
Most Black Americans don't understand that way of thinking. They think everything is about "liking" somebody or some country....rather than getting the support you need from that country to build your own country and protect yourself from IMMEDIATE PREDATORS (ie. the Evil Arab states).
I doubt very seriously that OBAMA will be stupid enough to continue this irrational AA hatred for Israel.
Why don't they hate racist ass France?

You can kiss my ass with regard to comparing me to Purl Gurl.
If you don't know who I am then just shoot an email to KEITH BOYKIN and ask him.
I say enough on my own...so I don't appreciate being compared to or blamed for other people's comments. Especially those I detest such as that ingrate Purl Gurl.
I don't mind discussing an issue. But the 'immature' b.s. CYBERSPACE finger pointing is tiresome.

Your radar is WAYYYYYYY off.
Try champion dick-sucker (vaginally infibulated women ALWAYS make the best dicksuckers--can you guess why?). It has something to do with PAIN and permanent "pin-hole" sized vaginas.
Try sexually submissive 3-men-at-a-time Mother and Playgirl. Since turning 40 I've decided to lock away all emotion and just go for my BASE "animal" desires.
It's the best decision I ever made. And now that I use men the way that I want...I'm never angry at them.
If you really want to understand what led up to all this (including losing my virginity to a 'near-white' mulatto Black American rapper from Howard University---he tutored me in English when I was 14 and just learning the language), try reading my autobiography.
Also note that Many AWARD-WINNING Authors are "loose cannons," "eccentric", etc.
Would you claim that my idols Norman Mailer and Ernest Hemingway shouldn't be published?
And I welcome people's "disagreement" with me.
In fact, many people who disagree with me have been able to change my opinion---but they didn't judge and dismiss me. They intelligently explained why they disagreed with me or they gave me information that I didn't previously have.
I think you'd be shocked to discover how easy it is to chat with me and appeal to my sense of wanting to know more.
What's no fun is when less talented people get upset because they're not as articulate and effective in expressing their opinions as I am expressing mine.
What's also no fun is when people who LACK PASSION...and don't stand for anything...get angry at those of us who do rock the boat.
One of my flaws, Bob...is that I can't WRITE IN ENGLISH...as quickly as I THINK IN ENGLISH.
Because of that, I often say things more bluntly and "generally" than I wanted to say. And because English is your only language, you don't catch that.
I'm sorry if I offended you or anyone else by saying that you all hate Israel.
I also think you all hate Africa, but we won't get into that.

And wasn't it YOU who brought up my sexuality? I simply corrected your drivel with the truth.
You see...this is what I don't like about conversing with Americans. You can't talk honestly.

I do have my fun with men every 6 months or so.
But I just wanted to give Bob a taste of his "anti-feminist" b.s.
I happen to have a lot of friends who "ARE" Lesbian and they are my sisters--I love them to death; they're the best women I've known.

I COMPLETELY AGREE that there's a "cast system" in America.
But I see American Jews as "White People".
ALL WHITES in America---not just Jews--are treated better than Blacks.
So why in the hell are you mad at Jews but not mad at the rest of the Whites who are Catholic, Christian, etc.
The reason you're not mad is because the White Slave Owners were Christians.
They taught you to believe in the 1 drop rule, taught you that Africans live in trees, darkskin is ugly...
and that the Jews killed Christ....
therefore, you have some irrational fixation on Jews but love Paris, France.
My point is that you can use those POWERFUL, RICH Jews better than you can use these poor ass, selfish black-hating Arabs you worship.
I am half Arab and I was born Sunni Muslim.
I don't know why in the HELL any black person would be cheerleaders for the Arab Muslims.
But then, I've actually lived over there so I see things differently.
2008-10-15 21:00:36
Far from it.
But I'm saying "Whites" are "Whites." Seriously.
And we need to choose our ALLIES in this world by what they can do for us.
Not by (1) If we like them (2) Who owned slaves (EVERYBODY DID! Including Africans and American Indians).
But right now in 2008, the Arab Muslims own slaves. If you go to Palestine--you will be called "Abeed" to your face and you will be looked down on by your "dark brothers" as inferior due to your African blood.
Those are FACTS.
My thing is this---since we have to work with former enemies of the globe from Europe to China to Middle East....
Then we have to learn how to manipulate whichever devil will most benefit US.
I denounced Islam and left my Arab heritage because I don't believe that WOMAN IS IMPURE and I don't believe that BLACK SKIN is a "curse" or that Africans are "part monkey".
I'm on Israel's side against the Arab countries 100%!
2008-10-15 22:07:39
2008-10-15 22:51:38
MOST AMERICANS are "Christians", and THAT...
...as I said...
...is the impetus for their hatred of Israel.
I brought up "Black America"...
because Black Americans are the only ones I really care about. And those are the people who criticize me (and other North Africans) for our support of Israel.
Those are the ones (African Americans) who...because of the NATION OF ISLAM...say "amen" to anything the Arab nations do.
As a Sudanese, I know for a FACT that Arab governments target "African Americans" for Political Propoganda, for Political Reasons.
For example---OVER HERE--they call you "brother" and encourage you to call them "brown brothers."
They don't do that with WHITE AMERICA, because what these Arabs want to take advantage of is your anger at the White Slave Master...but these same Arabs OWN AFRICAN SLAVES RIGHT NOW...and they OWNED AFRICANS SLAVES 1,000 Years and STILL commit unspeakable acts against Black Africans on a DAILY BASIS.
You can argue "technicalities" all you want. But the only people who in the United States who are extremely vocal in their hatred of Israel are the African-Americans.
And that's because the African-Americans are the MOST Christian Americans and the Israeli's are JEWISH (an African Religion that started in Falashic-SUDAN).
Prophet Ciisa (aka Jesus Christ) was also a JEW and was BLACK AFRICAN. The first CUSHITIC language (SUDAN) was also the first HEBREW language.
Personally. I don't like any man-made religion.
I Prefer FEMALE religions (river; sun and Menstration).

I must admit I also have a deep seated dislike for Israel. Just for the way I hear she treats her neighbours. But Koola is right, if I dislike Israel for racism I should also dislike America and France. They ARE one and the same thing. Israel is just perpetually caught with her pants down. And is defiant. Maybe it's her defiance that has led to MORE hatred for her
Glory to your sexual freedom. But I am sure you also have lesbian fantasies, come on now, be free. LOL
Anyway my problem with you Koola will always be your hate for white children or the brown ones. That is just more irrational than my hatred for Israel. Because, just because other people love white children more than they love dark ones, does not mean justice would is to hate or love less white ones. That is childish. It is as though you think love or hate come in unit quantitites for some fair distribution. They do not. Witholding love or embrace for any child is inhuman and therefore always wrong. And do not justify it like you were in some lab with test tubes and spetulas. It's pointless. As for your mild dissaproval for African Americans way of being. I think you err on the compasionate side. Your attacks at their rootlessness is Hitler-like. I can imagine you think they want to wipe you out from the face of the earth, just because you are dark skinned and African. I am sure some love you very much. And God said to Lot if there was even one man who was good in Sodom I'd save the city.
I dont think it is good for your psyche to live with so much hate but survival strategy. And especially so far away from home. I am sure the arabs, historically have raped Africans just the way Europeans did it later. But trust me Africans have done similar things to others. Once I told you that at some historical point all us, including white europeans, were slaves. So I find yourself some best friends AND children from any race. One day we will end up the same race anyway.
And of course you are a lesbian.2008-10-16 07:30:59
I once gave a very famous speech in Morocco in which I said that if I could have Chosen to be a Lesbian--I would have chosen it.
The occasion was my protest against several Moroccan woman who were being "Stoned" to death because they'd been discovered to be lesbians.
Don't know if you've read my autobiography or other accounts of the events...
...but long story short..
The women were STONED as scheduled (a hole dug in the ground, the women deposited and their HEADS stoned until they died).
And I was kicked out of the country and went on to publish my first and most angry book in England.
Of course...NO ONE has written more about the evils carried out by AFRICANS than I have. So it's quite obvious that you haven't read any of my books---almost all of which deal in quite detail with the atrocities COMMITTED BY AFRICANS. Why do you address me as though you know about what I'm about---yet miraculously--you're so uninformed.
I'm getting back to the lesbian thing, but...
It's so perplexing to me how people make such lavish critiques of what they think I am without considering all the THINGS that made me who I am.
What always baffles me is how flippant and cynical Americans are...how they can think someone that you could just WHIP UP the power in the books that I write or that some fertile imagination could just...manually GENERATE a Kola Boof.
Thinking really deeply about all this lesbian talk and my speech all those years ago.
I wanted to be one...
I wanted to be one because so many of my idols were lesbians...and more than that...I thought it be an ESCAPE HATCH from all the insecurities and heartbreak I experienced with men.
But, ironically, it's the things I like about men PHYSICALLY that make it impossible for me to have a lesbian experience.
I am also a MASOCHIST (a reaction to the complex I had about my height growing up--I always wanted to feel smaller; I always seek to be dominated sexually).
So I find it amusing that you envision me as a lesbian.
Being spanked by a hairy-chested muscle Toy would be a lot more accurate.
Of course--the fact that I'm up at 4:30 a.m. writing this on a message board is PROOF that I'm like most novelists--Boring and Alone.
2008-10-16 07:35:54
And that's because you're not used to someone whose feelings are virtually naked.

You would be lesbian because everyone is lesbian, Koola. Dont you know - dear. And who said that lesbians are only sexually dominating, which then exclude you? Come on - it really must have been early morning to write that. Well, I would know you are lesbian because I am lesbian too, although I am male, and have not gone trans- america and still sometimes I prefer dominating but not always...
Well if you are writing at 4 am? Then you are truly alone. I am sure that's what you prefer though, so you dont need to explain it. Because otherwise you'd live with at least one of your keen.
I know it'd be psychotic to hate white or brown children. But that's what you wrote once or at least what many of us read from you, dear. You wrote you'd never let half white babies get out of your womb alive, because they are the wrong colour for you. That is what I call hate. If you say it's not, then you must have a bizarre way of expressing your love.Besides this love-or-hate for half to white babies, I dont know who Koola is. But I have a feeling that you are not always direct. But when you are being direct you are sparkling. Sometimes I sense undertones in your writing that you are for a bit too self aware about making a name for yourself through your writings. To this I'd like to offer unsolicited advice, which would be: just write and write well and honestly tell your stories, and that's it. The rest will sort itself out. Great writers, like great philosophers and artists do not pay that kind of attention to audience responses - to an extent that it overshadows their love for what they do. So even if I discovered Koola the writer 10 years after your death, you must be excited that I will. Irrespective of whether I will or not appreciate your prose, but maybe your courage or faith and hope, etc. So dont worry I or anyone else for that matter has not read your book today. That worry can easily slip through your pages and spoil the colours of your books forever.

I'm trying to get an interview with her for DAILY VOICE about her new CD "Hurricane".
As she so kindly pointed out--any gay person who claims that I'm homophobic has obviously not read my books or witnessed the Campaign against me on the basis that my books "promote homosexuality" in Africa.
I'm sad that people are unable to understand me or relate to me.
In my true heart...I don't dislike ANYONE and as an artist expressing my pain publicly...
I don't intentionally mean to hurt or annoy anyone. What I do think is that people CLAIM they want "truth" "honesty" etc. but they come unraveled and feel threatened when someone does it.
BTW--I'm featured this month in the RUSSIAN EDITION of "ESQUIRE" magazine--and yesterday in Germany's #1 daily newspaper:
http://www.faz.net/s/Rub117C535CDF414415BB243B181B8B60AE/Doc~E2ED130B80B0D4071AA2DA13D38B5CC64~ATpl~Ecommon~Scontent.html?rss_googlefeed

I think Obama did so well in the debate last night that it's completely over-swept the Jackson incident.
I also think because it's the NY POST who reported this story; and because Jackson so vehemently denies it; it isn't able to grow legs. Thank the lord.
Also Nony, you're so wrong.
KEITH puts his foot in my ass all the time.
NOT...that I'm complaining about that. (BIG SMILE) LMAO!
And I quite disagree with you that this is a "gay" news site.
It's a serious, competetive news site that happens to be helmed by a Gay editor.
I think that ALL types of people come here--all races; all sexualities--it's just NEWS ITEMS and stuff.
Be fair now, love. Keith and his staff are doing a fine job.
No need to get your Wittle Umbrella (batting my lashes)...bent all out of shape.
RON...I do wish we could get back on topic.
But I fear since this story has died in the press--this whole thread is ruined.
I'm so sorry about that Vodka last evening.

And personally I dont see anything vulgar or out of place that Koola wrote. And once in a while she brings a breath of fresh air. Not as generic and predictable like Earl, for instance
Otherwise I have stated my disagreements regarding some of her positions and also marketing strategy. But I could be very wrong thinking that would not pay her. To start, she may not be the kind of writer whose values I admire for myself. But that has nothing to do with her.2008-10-17 06:57:43

Let me say, not everyone wants to be a popular writer. And I believe there's no such a thing as a failed writer, like there is no such a thing as a failed artist. But then again you live in a consumption driven culture of pretty little messed up american. We may be world aparts, morally speaking.
So, be assured that I am not an embarrased failed gay writer. I would not want to be a gay writer. I have zero vested interests to promote or protect myself. Some people, even quite young ones, are content writing for free purely as academics. So: you have a weekend that you deserve sweetness.
