Obama accidentally refers to 'Muslim faith'; conservative bloggers pounce

The truth is Obama was interrupted about 5 million times during the interview. Trinity which is a great church is about 15 mins. from my house in chicago. HE IS NOT A MUSLIM. when I saw the interview, I cringed because I know that some folk was going to have a field day with this. Conservative republicans invade your privacy every day by browsing your email and phone records. Unfortunately for all of us, they don't appear to care about our U.S. constitution, and they certainly don't care about your privacy. Amendment X - Powers of the States and People John McCain and conservative republicans have tried consistently to overturn States Laws. They used your hard earned tax dollars to destroy the will of the people of Oregon, and the famous "Death with Dignity" law; they lost, but undoubtedly will try again. Conservative republicans and John McCain do not respect States Rights. If your state votes for something conservatives don't agree with they will use federal powers to overturn it regardless of how you and your fellow voters feel. Amendment VIII - Cruel and Unusual punishment Would you rather die, or support a government which supported and sanctioned torture? The founding fathers would rather have died. The founding fathers were proud to fight and die for our government: A government which specifically outlaws cruel and unusual punishment. Conservatives don't agree with this philosophy. Conservatives are at odds with our founding fathers on this score, and too many others to count. John McCain and the conservative republicans have already gone a long way to destroying the moral foundations of our country. I urge you to keep this in mind in the coming election as we rebuild our nation together by voting Democrat.

Stephanopoulos's correction wasn't a correction, it was an incorrect interruption. Obama was asked about whether McCain has spread rumours saying he's a Muslim. It would make no sense for him to say McCain hasn't talked about his Christian faith as Obama immediately clarified: "Well, what I'm saying is that he hasn't suggested that I'm a Muslim." Thinking Obama was saying he's a Muslim is a failure on the listener's part, not Obama's. Saying "John McCain has not talked about my Muslim faith" cannot be interpreted as saying "I have Muslim faith." All it means is that John McCain hasn't spoken about Obama having Muslim faith. That's it. No more and no less than that. The bottom line is, if I say "I don't have a dog. Bob hasn't spoken about my having a dog" would people interpret that as me saying I DO have a dog? I don't think so. This is the same thing.

Will Obama ever learn, stay away from ABC, CNN and Fixed Noise? I guess not, burned yet again by good old george.

I wouldn't give a damn is Barack was a Buddhist, Muslim, Jew and Christian all rolled up in one, that doesn't effect my life. All I know is if it were McCain that made the comment the media wouldn't have corrected him and the media would be all over it. Obama heart is not for the people of America he has proven that over and over again it just takes a little research to see behind the seens. He has done nothing being a senator if he had we would know about it. It doesn't matter if you can talk a good talk Obama can definitely do that, you have to walk the walk and he has not done that his track record is flaky and he has proven that. I dont care what you want to do, what are you going to do and how are you going to do it is what I want to know. Be honest tell the truth and let the cards fall where they will fall, we do not need more government but need to get ride of the people who are in it.

Ha Ha - that was too cute. I never understood why idiots think someone who is really a Muslim would attend a Christian church for 20 years. Isn't that against the Muslim faith.

I wish the corporate media would treat the candidates equally. I can't imagine how much pressure Sen. Obama feels but I do know that he is sincere and truely wants what's best for this country and our great people. Dear Father, Please strengthen and encourage this man in is fight against the powers and the spirit of the air. Put a hedge of protection around his mind, body, spirit and his family. Lead him to victory and heal our land. I ask these things in the name of your Wonderful Son, Jesus Christ. Amen

Obama did not make a mistake. He was referring to claims that he is a Muslim. He was referring to his alleged Muslim faith when he was interrupted. The title of this article is wrong and misleading.
