Bill Clinton: 'I am not a racist'
Staff Reporter | Posted August 4, 2008 10:03 AM
Former President Bill Clinton insists he is "not a racist."
In his "first broadcast interview" since his wife dropped out of the Democratic presidential race, Clinton also acknowledged that he had some regrets about his wife's presidential campaign.
Despite criticism directed at the former president about his comments made during the South Carolina primary campaign, Clinton told ABC "I am not a racist" and insisted "I've never made a racist comment and I never attacked him [Obama] personally."
The exclusive interview with ABC News took place in Monrovia, Liberia, where Clinton has been working in Africa during the past week. Today he is scheduled to speak to the World AIDS Conference in Mexico.
"At times, he appeared to grow testy as he discussed his wife's failed bid for the nomination," ABC reported. Clinton told the network that discussing the subject "interferes with the issue which is who should be elected in November."
But when asked if he had any regrets about his role in his wife's campaign, he replied: "Yes, but not the ones you think. And it would be counterproductive for me to talk about."
"There are things that I wish I'd urged her to do. Things I wish I had said. Things I wish I hadn't said. But I am not a racist. I've never made a racist comment and I never attacked him [Obama] personally," he said.

Here is Bill again spewing "subliminal" venom why is he talking about this now? HINT: To make White America feel sorry for him and Hillary and they will revolt against Obama so he can lose this election and I bet afterwards if Obama loses Bill will be a JOLLY man again saying how he loves everybody and looking forward to Hillary in 2012 and so will I Bill to vote against her ass
No shade this is a part of Operation Hillary 2012. Bill ain't slick, READ BETWEEN THE LINES YA'LL
