Video: Omarosa fights with Wendy Williams on national TV
Staff Reporter | Posted July 22, 2008 11:04 AMIt started with a hug and a kiss. And it went down hill from there.
Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth appeared on the Wendy Williams Show and the pair greeted each other with an obligatory hug and air kiss. But something happened by the time they sat down a moment later.
Omarosa replied testily to a comment made by Williams, and then Williams apparently told Omarosa to chill. "I know how to chill, but I will not be disrespected," replied Omarosa.
A seemingly stunned Williams took a moment to recover and then replied. "Okay, this is not the time for you to look for your moment. With her finger wagging at Omarosa, Williams said "I invited you here..." At that point, Omarosa snapped her head back and said "I know how to find my moment" and pulled out a copy of her new book, The Bitch Switch.
"We're going to talk about the book," said Williams. "All right, let's get to it then," said Omarosa. Williams then picked up the book and Omarosa reached over and grabbed it out of Williams's hand.
"What did I do?" Williams said, turning to the camera and the audience. "Nothing, right?" Then Williams attempted to re-launch the interview. "Listen, we're going to start this over. Please help me welcome my guest Omarosa," said Williams, and the audience applauded.
Later, in discussing the book, which Omarosa described as a how-to guide for women, Williams described Omarosa as "the stereotypical angry black woman" or ABW.
"I would rather be ABW, angry black woman, than a buffoon," shot back Omarosa. "When black woman in the workplace tend to speak up, they instantly say oh she's angry. I'm not angry. I ain't pissed off about something. I'm young, I'm educated, I'm successful. And I represent my community well. I give back more to my community than anybody I know. So if that's being ABW, you're reinforcing stereotypes, and that's important for you not to do. Because you don't know me. You really don't."
"You're not my type Omarosa," Williams shot back.
"Don't be fake," said Omarosa. "Because what happens is that you have guests on your show and then you go on your radio show and talk smack," she said.
Williams denied the charge and continued the interview.

I watched this interview. Omarosa held her own. Wendy is used to punking people on air, but that didn't happen this time.
