And now another fake controversy for Obama

Wain! How typical of a lawyer to employ slippery semantics to twist around the heads of jurors. I bet you are a semantics student of Hayawaka of Berkeley fame so very long ago. Wain Bennett writes, in part, "...accused of being a spy at the Guantanamo Bay detention camp because he was a Muslim Army Chaplain who exposed the mistreatment of some of the Muslim prisoners...." Wain, my word, Yee was not charged with felony Muslim nor charged with felony exposure of mistreatment. Yee was charged with significantly more serious offenses, which carry capital punishment; espionage and treason. Three associated with Yee still await trial on equally serious charges, one of them an American Army officer. Yee walked away with convictions for adultery and using military facilities to download and store pornography from the web. No big deal, except he is a man of God engaging in some very serious sins, but sins are not crimes, yes? However, a man of God engaging in the forbidden does call into question his faith, correct? Can we fairly judge his hypocrisy as a man of God without fear of being labeled racist? This is of no importance, none at all. Yee is simply another womanizing porno loving cheating husband hiding behind the name of God. No surprise there; he is rather typical man of God. What is surprising is Obama does not have sense enough to not bring a controversial figure into his fold. Obama is so naive! Oh sure, we can proclaim this a benevolent act on the part of Obama, an act of displaying compassion for the inspected, rejected, dejected downtrodden of life. Hooray for Obama! We can also proclaim this an extremely stupid move on the part of Obama. This is a stupid move because the republican party, those you personally label as a nazi party, the republicans will use this Yee thing to rip apart Obama, quite rightly. Obama has given the republican party a gift. McCain won’t touch this, he has class. However, independent surrogates of the republican party will have Obama taking in a Muslim spy with a record of espionage and treason against our America. Obama will be cast as an Islamic terrorist sympathizer. Yee having charges dropped against him in the name of national security interests will be played up not as Yee being innocent rather as Yee being guilty. You know this will happen. With this being such a close political horse race between Obama and Clinton, one major mistake by either, no matter how innocent, will cost either the nomination. Should this Yee controversy explode, Obama is dead meat. This is just what Clinton needs to cinch the nomination. This is not a fake controversy, this is a real controversy handed over to the republicans, by Obama. Wait, Obama really did not choose Yee to be a Washington state delegate, right? Still, Obama did not silently cut a backroom deal to not have Yee be thrust before the American public. Rather clear Obama is quite naive when this comes cigar smoke backroom political dealings, or maybe Obama is a sissy and afraid to take a firm political stance. Whatever, Obama allowed Yee to become associated with his campaign. Obama gave the republican party a gift of a large wad of mud to sling at Obama, a dirty gift, I suppose. DUH! It would require the computer to be in the bathroom to read that long, boring tome, and, sorry, so far, your rants have not been worth the time to read after the first disingenuous line and lies. Purl Gurl, Yee was elected to be a National Delegate by the other Obama Delegates to the 9th Congressional District Caucus in WA State, not by Obama or the Obama campaign. Obama or the Obama campaign have no say whatsoever in who gets elected a National Delegate at this level in my state. Do you also have a problem with Majid Al-Bahadli, an Iraqi-American who had once been imprisoned by the US govt., also being elected a National Delegate, but in the WA 7th Congressional District Caucus. http://www.washblog.com/story/2008/5/17/181526/828 I'm a long time Democrat and active in the Party. I have not heard of any Democrat in WA who isn't OK with having these two Delegates representing us in Denver. They were elected through an open and democratic process where anyone who is a WA voter willing to state they are a Democrat can run to be a National Delegate. It is a simple case of Yee and Al-Bahadli campaigning for these positions and winning.

I view all delegates and super-delegates as stringless yo-yos whose only reason for being in this political game is to masturbate their bloated egos. Those delegates and super-delegates rob us of our votes or, at best, diminish the value of our votes. Our presidential nominee should be selected by majority popular vote and only by majority popular vote. This delegate process is not democratic and only serves to encourage and enable corruption in politics. We democrats are not allowed to truly select our candidate of choice. This selection is made for us by bloated ego, corrupt political power brokers. Ours is not a democratic process. We might as well be in Havana, Cuba, making a vote choice between Fidel Castro and Fidel Castro. Yes, I am upset by overzealous xenophobes who arrest and charge anybody and everybody who slightly resembles the boogeyman who lives under our bed. However, I am more upset by the possibility the boogeyman will detonate an atomic bomb on Capital Hill to teach us a religious lesson. Where do we draw the line between political correctness and being dead? My point is tossing out controversial people for political gain is plain stupid. Sure, we want to be idealistic and display fairness and equality, but electing controversial people to represent us is simply a guarantee of mudslinging by the republican party. Shoot, who will the next elected delegate be, lunatic Britney Spears or Hanoi Jane Fonda? Our democratic party is foolishly providing the republicans with cannon fodder to shoot down our presidential nominee, in this case, Barack Obama. This is just what Obama needs, another person who can be argued to be anti-American or more specifically, an Islamic terrorist secret operative. Does not matter if those men are innocent, the republican party will prove them guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in our court of public opinion, with Karl Rove the presiding judge. Does not really matter, this delegate system of the democratic party is about as corrupt and about as anti-American as can be. Stupidity on the part of democratic party leaders simply adds comedy.
