Let's get ready to rumble

First there was Hillary Clinton calling herself Rocky Balboa in the city of brotherly love, channeling the city's most famous fictitious boxer. It left some wondering if Clinton was suggesting that Obama might be Apollo Creed, Rocky's initial challenger.
Then there was the World Wrestling Entertainment's version of Clinton versus Obama in a live wrestling match that aired Monday night on television. Although the wrestlers, dressed in suits, were played by WWE athletes, the real candidates played along by recording videos for the WWE audience. A perfect place to reach the young male vote.
"The last man standing may just be a woman," said the real Hillary Clinton. "You'll need a president who will go to the mat for you," she said. "I've been knocked down, but I've always gotten back up. And I know how to take a hit for the American people," she added.
For his part, Barack Obama said this is a "historic time" for America, "not just that the reign of Randy Orton may be coming to an end." The real life Obama said "for a long time now we've had a politics where our leaders go after each other like they're becoming king of the ring instead of coming together to provide universal health care." He ended his pitch with a takeoff on a famous line from former wrestler The Rock. "Do you smell what Barack is cooking?" he asked.
Meanwhile, in the wrestling ring, the Obama fighter and the Clinton fighter went at each other. Clinton, aided by husband Bill Clinton, scored some points but both fighters were eventually knocked out.
And now there's a new video out called "Baracky," which comes full circle by depicting Obama as Rocky and Clinton as challenger Apollo Creed. Set to the tune of the Rocky theme song, we see Obama's head superimposed on Rocky's body as the Philly fighter runs through the streets and ultimately climbs the famous stairs at the city's art museum.
