It's official: Obama wins Texas

On the night of the March 4 primary, Sen. Hillary Clinton was declared the winner of the contest based on the projections of the popular vote, but after Democratic county conventions held last weekend, Obama has now won more delegates from Texas than his rival.

Obama won a total of 99 delegates to the Democratic national convention to be held in Denver in August, while Clinton won a total of 94 delegates, according to the Associated Press.

Sen. Clinton did narrowly win the popular vote in the primary last month, but the state also held caucuses the same night, and those results were slower to come in thanks, in part, to a record turnout of more than 1 million participants.

Obama leads the delegate race for the Democratic nomination in all surveys, including the AP survey which gives him 1,631 delegates to 1,501 for Clinton.

Mrs. Clinton as much as I hold in high esteem you and your husband for your contributions, and service to this country. There comes a time where you have to love this country enough to let it go. If you really love this country and our Democratic political party, You wouldnt want your legacy to be the Mike Huckabee of the Democrats. Dont stick around just to be the skunk at the party. I can run as long as I want. Well sure you can. But thats extremely selfish, and short sited of you to behave that way. We have had a Bush then a Clinton. Then a Bush and now another Clinton? Im sorry this country is not a party joint to be passed around by two families. What part do you not understand the overwhelming majority of this country want REAL CHANGE!!!! Be a mature elder stateswoman of your party and bow out of this race gracefully. You owe it to all the young people looking to you for true leadership. With 8 years of George W. Bush this country has truely had enough. I love you Mrs. Clinton but please love us back by bowing out now......
