Condoleezza Rice says no to VP spot
Staff Reporter | Posted April 15, 2008 11:40 AM"I do not want to be, don't intend to be, won't be on his ticket," Rice told the Associated Press. "It's time for me to do something else," she said, saying she would return to work at Stanford University after she finishes her job with the Bush administration.
Some commentators have also mentioned former Secretary of State Colin Powell as a GOP vice presidential candidate, but Powell last week made comments that praised Senator Barack Obama and questioned President Bush's Iraq policy.
