Twin brothers charged in daring Philadelphia crime spree

Very sad. Keyontyli appeared in many fashion spreads and it seemed that he had a promising career as a fashion model. Very unfortunate.

Not very sad nor unfortunate, these were good looking young men, odd names for real though, but, they chose a lifestyle of self destruction, and crime, going in with an ax to rob someone is way too much, and, if they did it to the other alleged 40 places no sympathy from me. Maybe some prison time is the wake up call they need.

I have no sympathy for either of them. The fact that one of them had a rather promising future ahead of him was obviously not enough to deter him from entering a life of crime. Not to be judgemental, but how many black men in porno (gay or straight) can be considered business titans ??? They made their choices and they should both deal with the consequences !!! Ghetto is as ghetto does !!!

Unfortunate situation -- no sympathy here either, as they made obviously stupid decisions. Besides, why is that when most of U/us (Blacks) commit crimes, W/we settle for small-time, petty BS? For all the preparation and work of going through a roof, they couldn't have set their sights on a more white-collar scale? If I'm going to prison, it's not going to be for a small piece of change. It's sad that, even in crime, W/we don't see the "Big Picture." @ the write of this piece... Two twins? Isn't that redundant?

All joking aside, that is a shame that they choose to rob a business when things when looking good for them(or one).

One of these dudes is on my myspace page. I heard about this on my commute on the way to work this morning. It is very unfortunate and I would have never guessed that a person with such a promising career ahead of him would do such despicable acts. It’s hard being a struggling model or struggling with any career field however, no one should result by going down the wrong path and choosing an easy way out like this. There is no easy way out. You have to work hard and continue to work hard with all the trials and tribulations that come with it in order to succeed. I do understand that the porno business doesn’t pay well and I also know that being a model can be very daunting at times too. This was just wrong. I guess they assumed that if they could get away with it one time then they should just continue and wouldn’t get caught and they robbed establishments in other states too? Crazy! They should have had other options instead of this. Very unfortunate indeed. No sympathy from me. They should get the time for doing the crime(s) and reflect about what they did. Too many people like I work hard and do things fair and just to earn our living. When people cheat and take short cuts in life eventually they will be caught and disciplined.

I know Keyon... and yes he made a mistake, however who has not made a mistake. Hell we are all human and all have things in our closet that we wish were not exposed. The bible says that there is no sin greater than the other... instead of us worrying about all the wrong, how about praying for this young men and educating other young men and offering them support so they don't go down this road. This goes to show that the individuals that we think have everything together need most of our help. This could have happen to Jesse O (singer), Shorty Roc (rapper), Dwight O'Neal(young producer/actor), the Nathans, Maric Runea, or Trent Jackson... No one knows these people outside of their image they hold in this community... find out the real person and support them... dont tear them down. Whats your secret? You know you have one... just pray no one else finds out what it is...

Thank you Super Model 2. No one asked for sympathy for these young men, but empathy goes a long way. I was beginning to wonder if the readers were totally heartless in this case. You hit the nail on the head. Who hasn't made mistakes and some dumb mistakes at times. Our black men need our support and assistance wherever we can give it not the cold heartless responses I was reading and these men have not been tried in a court of law yet. If they are found guilty then, yes, they have to pay. Keep in mind that none of us are perfect and neither is the law.

Regardless of how bad times may be anyone who is willing to to be filmed performing sex acts with other people for a few hundred dollars should be expected to do just about anything else for money. I am sure their porn producer is now licking his chops and just waiting for the new recruits these two are no doubt going to be sending his way. Think for a minute just how many young black 20 somethings recieved 5 years or more for drug offenses and know nothing other than sex with other men and are now about to be released with no job skills but do have fine muscular bodies. Thug porn is a very big business with a now never ending supply of recruits just waiting to be asked to do it.

Sympathy or empathy aside, no one tells you to go out with an ax to rob someone, get a real job, there are plenty out there, and these two good looking men had an edge already over the average Joe. Some say porn does not pay, why do it then, since the ones getting rich off of it aren't the ones starring in it. These two deserve a fair hearing, and, nothing else, way too many young black men get caught up in this life of crime and have a list of excuse as to why, and the only ones who get hurt are them and their families, sine we all know the legal system is stacked against black men, so, why do the crime in the first place???

Amen, James. Twenty-five is old enough to know right from wrong. Black men already know its double hard out here for them, and they, keep making it harder. Yes, we all make mistakes, okay, now what?? They knew what they were getting themselves into. So what if you know them personally, this still was a dumb act. Its a shame that most of the young black men are going to jail just to become somebody's girlfriend. They need to seek forgiveness from their God. I don't feel sorry for them.

By now, I am well aware of the sad saga of these two striking young men (as primarily reported by the black gay blogs). Throught the same press, I've watched Teyonkyli as he appeared to be trying to distance himself from the porn industry into a career in mainstream fashion. If my observations are totally correct, his efforts are commendable. I've never met the young man, but I was silently championing whatever success he may have garnered in desiring better, so when this news broke...so did my face...as well as my heart. All I could think was "after all that...now this". What RUIN. And waste. By no means am I making excuses; the actions of both brothers are deplorable and unacceptable, but I am empathetic. These two will not be the last young black males to make unfortunate decisions that will negatively impact their lives. Like they made the decision to (allegedly) commit these crimes, they still may be able to determine exactly how positive their next course-in-life will be. Jail may not be kind to them (look at how pretty they are) & we may not be able to help them, but God can. Prayer is in order.

No sympathy or empathy for these two lazy young men. I'll tell you I'd rather struggle day to day and do these on my own two feet than to ever think about taking from another person. They robbed (alledgedly -right) 30 stores or so. Now we want to feel sorry, pray and wish well wishes. I think not. It's time that we stopped as a community start calling a spade a spade. Keyon is commendable because he left porn and distanced himself from it? He left porn and became a fulltime escort as well as modeled. Not commendable quite unfortunate actually. He should have taken his a** to school and stopped all that fraudulent stuff that he alledgedly was apart of in his "gay house" as well, then he might be commendable. But he and his brother built a lifestyle on crime and fraud and I am so glad that they're going away for a longtime. Innocent people have been hurt by this and in this time of economic decline people need every dime they can keep.

The one, you hit the nail on the head. Your words were so eloquently put. Black folks need to start accepting responsibility for their actions. I have an eleven year old son. I talk to him everyday about life, and how good it can be; how bad it can be, if one makes it that way. What about the people these two hurt, shouldn't we feel sorry for them? They were the innocent ones here.

To supermodel: I don't really understand your comment too clearly. Are you saying Because you know these criminals and obviosly condone their act of negligence, that people are supposed to let these two rob them and forgive them later? So, if i work hard to support myself and my family, I am supposed to just let jo smo, who does not want to work, take from me? Is that fair to me and my family? What if these two had taken from you. I don't think that you would find it in your heart to forgive them. What if they robbed you at gun point or took something so valuable that they could not replace, oh, let's say, your life. How would you feel if you were the victim? Does this mean that we are evil because we don't forgive these two? There are jobs out here. It may not be what you want, but it can be something to help out. These are two males, who could have come together and helped each other, but they wanted the easy way out. You do the math!

This is what is beginning to happen to our young black men. They get turned-out way too young and get lost in the system. I'm willing to bet my salary that sales for these "blue movies" the twins did are through the roof.

I don't think people understand what a mistake is. This was not a mistake, which is when something is done unintentionally. This was an intentional act and premediatated. This is the life they both chose. We have to be careful about who and what we allow in our lives. I doubt seriously when they get out, that they will become productive citizens.

@ a; your right.... but CAN they REALLY become productive citizens? Between the porno and wrap sheet, it would be incredibly difficult for society to get pass that. Espicially with search engines like google, shit, your whole life story pops up with a name search... So it will be hard, but if they both want to change I guess they can pull each other through. Sad story though... young, handsome, with their whole future ahead of them... its too bad.

People really amaze me. It is so funny to me how so many of you get on here and bash these dudes but really how much do you know about them. Am I giving them a pass for what they did..NO. Am I saying that they should get a slap on the wrist..NO. However, what I am saying is that who are you to make assertions and ascertain someone's wrongdoings and various actions when you neglect to ask questions. You don't know anything about these boys besides what you hear and that diminishes all credibility of some of these most profound statements. Let me say this, when you know what goes on behind the closed doors of others and what goes on in their heads at night when they hit the pillow then you say something. I have a Bachelor's degree, am a licensed stock broker, have plenty of civil and academic merits and associations under my belt plus some, however, when my checks stay the same, my gas and food cost more, and bill collectors keep calling then you don't know what that is like. Yea get out there and work for yours most definitely but at the same time when someone feels they just aren't getting ahead then they try to find a way to do so. It has run across my mind to do some illegal things as well when that second job just isn't getting it. Just because a brotha has education and what not does not mean that school loans and other bills don't outweigh my compensation. School is definitely the way to go but remember who your president is and the situation that we are in with this opportunist bastard. At least I can say that from the outside looking in, they didn't seem to have malicious intent in their robberies because they hit places with no people and they weren't tearing the place up. Yea the robbery period is out of the question and they are taking food and money out of the mouths and pockets of others so again I say they are still wrong and should be punished. But before you throw stones at anyone else, you be glad you haven't acted out some of your desperations. I bet 80% of you have said in some way, even if just joking, that you would do something you had no business to get ahead. So, please miss us with that holy-ier than thou BS and be real. All you have to say is these dudes were wrong and should be punished but then you need to learn from their mistakes, educate them and the rest who are coming along. This is the mindset that will save the Black community!
